What a great catch. I didn't think any of these would have ever been done.

That would have been nice if we met that day Barry! Must have been someone else.

That trip had its ups and downs. It was my last three week vacation, photographing trains and locomotives across the west and midwest. Shot 113 rolls of Kodachrome - lots of neat images, but many were downright crappy!

Two days after my MP 1153 image was exposed, my trip came to an abrupt end. First, I was run off the interstate north of El Paso after the driver next to me fell asleep at the wheel. Then, the MoPac-mobile (seen behind MP 1153), bottomed out in a BIG dip in the road, just west of Deming, NM (I was chasing a SP/ATSF powered coal train!). The transmission cover was ripped open and the motor mounts broke. Pre-cellphone days - it was a long walk back to Deming... Yes, those were the days!!!!

Randy, I just need to ask...is that an AMC Pacer? I know of a guy that used to chase RI, MOP, KCS and SLSF around here in a VW Bug...and later had a Chevy Citation.

A Datsun 310GX. It was quite comfortable for a guy who is 6'8".
